The Charlie Tango Project
New Album "Life in the Sky"
Wellington, New Zealand
The Charlie Tango Project, the brainchild of Wellington musicians Chris Cresswell and Phill Adams, is proud to announce the release of their debut album, Life in the Sky. The album showcases the talent and collaboration of local musicians including Gary Taylor on keyboards, vocalist Olivia Marie, and renowned guitarist Nick Granville.
Featuring ten meticulously crafted tracks, Life in the Sky delivers a distinct rock/pop sound that pays homage to the 80s & 90s while offering a fresh, contemporary edge. “While our influences span far and wide, we’ve always returned to guitar-based rock with bold, cinematic ambition," says Cresswell. "For me and Phill the devil was really in the detail so I guess our hope is that listeners will discover different layers over successive listens."
With nods to iconic artists like Icehouse, Simple Minds & Pink Floyd, listeners can expect strong melodies and big choruses that create quick familiarity with the songs.
